«MIKALOJUS ČIURLIONIS»
3D world
Challenge
Create 3D world using the works of the Lithuanian artist Mikalojus Čiurlionis to interpret the sense of his works in VR and guide the audience through various plot lines.
Solution
Our idea of creating the project was as follows:
As soon as the viewer is immersed in the universe, he immediately realizes that he is an angel who contemplates the states of life, death and merging with the universe.
We made each scene of the project based on the artist's paintings. All the scenes were woven into a single plot with the change of day and night, which gave a more complete immersion in the project.
Due to the fact that high-quality images of Mikalojus Ciurlionis paintings were used as a source, we managed to maintain maximum consistency of color and texture.
Result
As a result, we created storylines for four locations with a total duration of more than 21 minutes, visual concepts. Each video was created and modified on the basis of the works of Mikalojus Čiurlionis, which made it possible to achieve the authenticity of the project. As a result, four 6-minute cinematic locations were created.
The project was an addition to the exposition at the M. Čiurlionis National Art Museum.
The Ciurlenis Museum was selected for the Virtual Reality program of the 75th Venice International Film Festival in 2024.
